Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership, management, and strategic oversight for all construction, broadband, energy, manufacturing, and other skilled trades workforce programs across LDCC campuses and training sites.
• Collaborate with business and industry partners to ensure programs align with current and future workforce needs.
• Conduct ongoing labor market analysis and facilitate employer engagement to guide program development and expansion.
• Develop, schedule, and oversee non-credit and short-term training courses, including the selection of instructional staff and appropriate training materials.
• Instruct workforce training classes as needed in construction, broadband, energy, and other skilled trades sectors to support program delivery and student success.
• Supervise workforce instructors and staff affiliated with construction, broadband, energy, manufacturing, and skilled trades programs, providing ongoing coaching and performance evaluations.
• Build partnerships with industry leaders, workforce development boards, economic development agencies, and community organizations to strengthen program impact.
• Recruit qualified instructors for programmatic needs based on regional economic demand.
• Coordinate grant applications, reporting, and compliance activities in partnership with the grants and workforce teams.
• Ensure programs meet accreditation, certification, and industry credentialing requirements, maintaining high standards of quality and student success.
• Ensures the integrity and validity of workforce training programs and the alignment of programming with the college’s mission and strategic plan.
• Promote programs through outreach and recruitment initiatives, including participation in job fairs, industry events, and community presentations.
• Track and report program outcomes including enrollment, completion, credential attainment, and job placement rates.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the college’s workforce and economic development mission.
Required Experience:
• Experience in workforce development, industry training, or program management.
• At least ten [10] years’ experience working within construction, broadband, telecommunications, energy, manufacturing, or other skilled trades sectors.
• Demonstrated knowledge of workforce education, labor market demands, and industry credentialing systems.
• Experience in supervising staff and program development.
• Familiarity with Louisiana’s workforce systems and local industry landscape.

Work Environment:
This position may require travel within the LDCC service area and occasional evening or weekend work to attend events or support programs.
