Duties and Responsibilities: 
1. Strategic Network Architecture
• Design and develop scalable, secure, and highly available network infrastructure aligned with organizational growth and digital transformation strategies.
• Evaluate and recommend Fortinet and third-party technologies to enhance enterprise networking capabilities.
2. Advanced Troubleshooting and Optimization
• Lead high-impact investigations and root cause analyses of complex network performance and security issues.
• Establish and refine automated diagnostics, monitoring, and alerting systems using Fortinet and complementary tools.
3. Security Engineering
• Design and enforce enterprise-wide network security frameworks incorporating Fortinet firewalls, IPsec VPNs, UTM, and segmentation.
• Proactively evaluate vulnerabilities and compliance gaps, leading mitigation and audit readiness initiatives.
4. Infrastructure Lifecycle Management
• Manage full lifecycle activities for network upgrades, capacity expansions, and cloud integrations.
• Serve as technical lead for network refreshes, datacenter interconnects, and multi-site failover designs.
5. Automation & Scripting
• Develop scripts and leverage APIs to automate network configurations, deployments, and audits using FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer and other DevNetOps tools.
6. Incident Response & DR Readiness
• Spearhead Tier 3 incident handling, coordinating across departments to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Support business continuity planning through active design and testing of network disaster recovery procedures.
7. Mentorship & Leadership
• Provide technical mentorship to Network Analysts and junior engineers; lead knowledge-sharing sessions on Fortinet technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various initiatives.
8. Documentation & Standards
• Establish and maintain detailed documentation for architecture diagrams, configuration standards, change management, and operational playbooks.
9. Technology Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
• Monitor advancements in networking technologies (especially within the Fortinet ecosystem), contributing to roadmap planning and process improvements.

Required Experience: 
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Network Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Fortinet products.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• In-depth knowledge of routing protocols, layer 2/3 switching, VLANs, and IP addressing schemas.
• Strong proficiency with IPSec/SSL VPNs, SD-WAN, content filtering, IDS/IPS, and high availability configurations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
• Strong documentation skills for network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting processes.

Required Licenses or Certifications: Certified as a Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
