The Strategic Project Manager at LED FastStart serves as a strategic leader responsible for driving the success of statewide workforce development initiatives. This high-impact role involves independently managing and delivering complex projects from inception to completion while ensuring alignment with LED FastStart’s mission of providing innovative workforce solutions.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Strategic Project Manager assumes full ownership of project outcomes, with authority to make critical decisions that influence organizational success. This position not only oversees the development and execution of tailored support plans for new and expanding companies but also plays a pivotal role in shaping long-term strategies to optimize workforce readiness across Louisiana.
Key responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, implementing data-driven solutions to enhance operational performance, and forging strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the Strategic Project Manager spearheads key marketing initiatives, manages compliance in procurement activities, and contributes to the organization's thought leadership in workforce development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Define project goals, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with executive leadership and business partners.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and client needs.
• Plan and facilitate meetings with LED FastStart Project client leads to discuss LED FastStart’s support as assigned by the Executive Director.
• Lead comprehensive analyses of LED FastStart projects to assess and align business and training requirements, driving the development and execution of strategic support plans tailored to client objectives
• Analyze operational data and prepare high-level reports and presentations for executive leadership to ensure operational efficiency and demonstrate project impact.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, providing clear direction, setting priorities, and fostering collaboration to achieve project milestones.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and project clients to ensure alignment
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and marketing team to develop and lead strategic marketing initiatives that enhance project visibility and success.
• Independently manage special procurement requests related to special projects, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement strategies for efficient resource allocation and utilization.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and facilitate communication between business partners and project clients.
• Train LED FastStart team members on using the Chrome River and Christopherson applications to efficiently book travel, submit pre-approvals, and process expense reports
Required Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
Required Experience: Minimum of two years of workforce development experience assessing needs, proposing solutions and delivering client-based workforce support that include developing instructional materials
Preferred Education: Bachelors or advanced degree from an accredited institution in business or management, human resource development, instructional technology or a related field
Preferred Experience: Three or more years of experience teaching or managing technical education programs or workforce development efforts within a community college
