This position is housed at the Baton Rouge System Office and reports to the Chief Education and Training Officer. Remote work may be an option.
The Project Director works with faculty representatives and staff from colleges, industry partners, and members of the workforce ecosystem to effectively deploy and implement initiatives across multiple institutions. Additionally, the Director provides support for the development, execution, and implementation of special initiatives impacting workforce programs, adult education, and career and technical education/academic programs. This role will manage dedicated funding streams. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of college-wide teams, system personnel, and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects or initiatives according to plan. Must have experience in project management, budgets, and grants involving multiple entities. This position is responsible to not only meet the needs of the system but drive forward key projects and initiatives; solution-oriented and innovative leader.

Duties and Responsibilities: 
• Serve as the System Advisor for the Faculty Senate Presidents (FSP)
• Develop curriculum and CTE programs of study as appropriate to align with regional and state workforce needs.
• Provide system leadership for projects, funding, and relationships
• Develop and offer best practices to education and training in both credit and noncredit divisions, providing guidance on program alignment and stackable credentials
• Manage the deployment and implementation of industry partnerships involving multiple colleges;
• Work alongside the Manufacturing Extension Partnership of Louisiana (MEPOL) to assist colleges to meet regional workforce needs and meet subrecipient agreement targets as applicable.
• Manage the deployment and implementation of targeted funding streams and grant initiatives as needed (Broadband, Rapid Response, Healthcare, Higher Education Initiatives Fund, Corrections funding, etc…)
• Oversee implementation of the development of programs in response to industry needs by partnering with academics (including career and technical education), workforce and adult education and ensure programs meet business and industry, community and student’s needs. Monitor and report program completions regularly to the Chief Education and Training Officer;
• Trend and Aggregate student completer numbers and work alongside the Chief Education Training Officer and Director of Institutional Effectiveness to increase the number to include, but not limited to Manufacturing, Healthcare, IT, Construction and Transportation and Logistics by removing barriers as appropriate
• Assist the Chief Education and Training Officer to communicate and coordinate with business and industry partners, as appropriate, to ensure program alignment to workforce needs;
• Oversee Education and Training website as directed by the Chief Education and Training Officer.
• Coordinate reporting requests with the Office of Institutional Research and Director of Institutional Effectiveness; responsible for all state and federal reporting relevant to existing and new statewide programs.
• Assist the Chief Education and Training Officer and others in processing programs for consideration at the Board of Supervisors and Board of Regents.
• Assist the State Director for Career and Technical Education with feedback on the Perkins V State Plan and evaluating high quality CTE programs of study for alignment to industry and serving the needs of special populations (as defined under Perkins V)
• Maintain a digital repository to collect and process new programs, make program modifications and/or terminate programs to maintain compliance with the Board of Regents and national institutional accreditors;
• Represent the Chief Education and Training Officer at various local and state organizations as requested;
• Travel is expected. Performing other duties as assigned.

Required Education: Master's degree from a regionally accredited university

Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience within a K-12 setting, college, university or System office setting

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
 Ability to travel in-state and work on weekends periodically.
 Understanding and commitment to the missions of community and technical colleges.

Preferred Education: Doctorate degree preferred
