Summary of Position:

The CASE Dean’s Office Level II student position involves general office responsibilities and provides an opportunity to develop skills in Microsoft Office programs, administrative tasks, and gain a deeper understanding of higher education systems and procedures.

 
Position Requirements:

-Must be a currently enrolled student in good academic standing

-Strong written and verbal communication skills

-Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

-Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion

-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

-Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and manage time effectively

-Professional demeanor and willingness to interact with faculty, staff, and students

-Dependable, punctual, and consistent in meeting responsibilities

-Previous office or administrative experience preferred, but not required

-Comfortable learning and using office technologies and university systems

 
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

-Greet and assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner

-Answer phones, take messages, and route calls appropriately

-Respond to general inquiries via email or in person

-File, scan, and organize documents and records accurately

-Create and update spreadsheets, forms, and other documents using Microsoft Office

-Help prepare materials for events, meetings, or presentations

-Perform regular office upkeep (e.g., stocking supplies, organizing workspaces)

-Deliver interoffice mail or run errands across campus when necessary

-Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information and follow FERPA guidelines

-Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by office staff
