Adjunct Instructor 1 - Electronics and Automation Engineering Technology Multiple Locations
Temporary faculty teaching AAS and/or BS level coursework involving Industrial, Electronics and Automation Technology. Typical subject matter includes DC / AC circuit analysis, Industrial Electronics, Motors and Motor Controls, Programmable Logic Controllers, Digital Systems, Electronic Devices and Sensors. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Required: A master’s or higher-level degree in field or closely related field and 3 years of relevant industrial experience. (all courses up through 400 level). A master’s or higher-level degree out of field with at least one bachelor’s or associate’s degree in field and 5 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught. (all courses up through 400 level). A bachelor’s degree in field and 5 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught; or an associate’s degree in field and any baccalaureate degree and 5 years of relevant industry experience. (all courses up through 200 level). 3-5 years of relevant industry experience dependent upon degree obtained. See Required Education.
Adjunct Instructor 1 - Architecture and Facility Management Multiple Locations
The Architecture and Facility Management Department seeks applications for a part-time, temporary faculty position. Responsibilities involve teaching one or more courses in the following degree programs: AAS in Architectural Technology, or BS in Architecture and Sustainability, or BS in Facility Management. In addition to the more common topics associated with the degree programs, experience in architectural design, construction detailing and documents utilizing AutoCAD and Revit, digital architectural presentation utilizing software such as Revit, Formit, Autodesk 3DS Max, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, and/or experience in Facility Management, will be considered. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2025 at the earliest and January 2026 at the latest. Required: For 100 and 200 level courses: A Bachelor of Science in Architecture. For 300 and 400 level Architecture courses: A NAAB - accredited Bachelor or Master of Architecture, or a Bachelor of Science in Architecture plus a master’s degree in a related field such as building science, design studies, landscape architecture, commensurate with the topic being taught. For 300 and 400 level FM courses: A bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field and a master’s degree in any applicable field, including Education or Business; or a master’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Professional work experience and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Adjunct Instructor 1 - Product Design Engineering Technology Multiple Locations
The School of Engineering and Computing Technology invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in the Product Design Engineering Technology program. This position requires teaching undergraduate-level lecture and laboratory coursework in a "hands-on" academic environment. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is used for face to face and/or online instruction. For in-person or hybrid teaching positions, candidates must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University’s campuses. Athletics Learning Specialist Graduate Assistant Big Rapids, MI 49307
This position will assist coaches in identifying at risk student-athletes and supporting academic advisors in assisting athletes in finding services available both on and off campus to help them be more successful in the classroom. This position will be responsible for documenting and collecting data related to student-athlete success focusing on the academic achievement gap of minority student-athletes as compared to other student athletes, all minority students, and the general student population. Pursuant to FSU-HRPP 2005:44, "Students currently admitted on a full-time basis, defined as carrying at least 9 credits per semester, to a Ferris State University graduate program and earning credits toward a graduate degree, may qualify for a Graduate Project Assistant (GPA) position". Required: Bachelor's Degree. Must be enrolled in a Ferris State University Graduate program for Fall 2025 semester. Demonstrated experience working with student athletes.

Develop, execute, measure, and evaluate student data and produce accurate reporting and analysis to appropriate personnel for the Enrollment Services Unit, as well as, the University at large. This position utilizes Banner data to enhance existing processes and to create and refine reports germane to the University’s vision and goals. A position classified as a Food Service Worker is available with Dining Services at the Quad Café. This is a 9 month position, beginning on August 18, 2025. The normal working hours are 12:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday. Days off are Saturday and Sunday. The employee may be required to work other times, including evenings and/or weekends. If required by job duties, the employee must be able to fulfill the University’s requirements concerning issuance and use of University keys.
