Job Summary: The facilities director is responsible for management and administration of building and property activities, operations, and assigned staff at assigned campus locations. The director coordinates facility programs and projects with leadership, vendors, and staff by inspecting the facility, analyzing building data, budgeting, planning, forecasting future needs, solving problems, and communicating with others to ensure efficient and sustainable campus operations at each assigned campus location.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years experience or, technical/associate's degree/certificate and eight years progressively responsible technical experience including two years supervisory experience.

- Collaborates with leadership in development of facilities and capital strategic planning, master planning for deferred maintenance, short- and long-term building and property goals; and construction, maintenance, and sustainability needs; collaborates with leadership, vendors, and staff in planning and analysis of campus facility short-term and long-term projects; serves as site manager of campus facility projects. - (Essential)
- Responsible for department operations; manages facility operations, maintenance programs, and preventative maintenance programs; manages building systems and services; coordinates with public utilities; develops and oversees campus response to inclement weather and natural disasters. - (Essential)
- Supervises staff; prioritizes and assigns work, conducts performance evaluations, hires and trains staff, and makes separation and disciplinary decisions. - (Essential)
- Develops, plans, maintains facilities budget; develops, administers and reconciles budgets to ensure facility assets and resources are sustained; assists with facility asset and resource acquisition; oversees purchasing and contract administration; oversees third-party vendors; approves payment and requisitions for supplies and equipment. - (Essential)
- Travel between campuses and off-site locations is required; may be required to cover any combination of HACC's five physical campus locations as needed. - (Essential)
