Job Description:
The Institute of American Constitutional Thought and Leadership is hiring for a temporary, part-time Communications Assistant. The Institute is a multidisciplinary university center that conducts teaching, research, and public programming concerning the ideas, traditions, and texts that form the foundations of Western Civilization and the American political order.
The Communications Assistant will provide communication and administrative assistance to the Institute of American Constitutional Thought and Leadership and other duties may be assigned by the Executive Director.
Responsibilities Include:
● Advise the Institute faculty in crafting its messaging and promotional strategy for key UToledo student populations
● Assist with undergraduate engagement and enrollment
● Assist in communicating with undergraduates through social media and email
● Manage correspondence with students interested in the Institute
● Maintain organization of Institute records and shared documents
● Post advertisements and messaging in key areas of the UToledo campus
● Oversee logistics for events and activities
● Other logistical and operational duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree required.
● Social media platforms, including Snapchat and GroupMe.
● Operating systems and file management procedures for both macOS and Windows computing platforms.
● Basic productivity applications, including Microsoft Office.
● Google applications, including Google Docs and Google Sheets
● Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively
● Ability to handle private and confidential material and information
● High degree of organization and professionalism
● Ability To develop and apply creative and appropriate solutions to solve complex problems.
