University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.
Position Summary
Temporary, Part Time, Non-Benefited position through 6 months of start date.
Salary: $19.00-$23.00 per hour.
Location: CSUSB Campus
Work Schedule
19 hours per week. Temporary/part time (6 Month)- Work schedule can be flexible. Must work during normal business hours. Typically, Monday to Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.

Typical Activities
Under minimal supervision of the UEC Human Resources and Payroll Manager, the Human Resources Assistant will work independently to:
Perform daily, routine and complex data entry of all confidential transactional changes into the HRIS (Paylocity). Changes include but are not limited to: demographics, job changes reflected on Personnel Transaction Reports (PTR's), separations, W-4 updates and VISA and l-9 documents, tracking of education, training performance and related personnel information.
Prepare, route, track and mail appointment letters.
Ensure on-going compliance with federal 1-9 requirements for all employees and follow-up with employees/department representatives as needed on retrieval of any outstanding documents.
Provide customer service to students, staff and faculty regarding employment with UEC.
Articulate and communicate; both orally and in writing, the Human Resources policies and procedures of UEC to employees including onboarding and conducting new hire orientations.
Responsible for accurate and timely distribution of employee documentation needed to process semi-monthly payroll.
Responsible for the maintenance, confidentiality and retention of all personnel files and tracking of regulatory and internal documents and correspondence through use of various software programs and HRIS systems.
It is crucial for the incumbent to set their own priorities regularly, manage multiple work assignments, meet necessary deadlines, and perform other duties as assigned while working in an environment of constant interruptions.

Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience:
High School/ GED
One to two years' experience in general office/clerical experience.
Detail oriented, accurate, and efficient.
Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
Highly effective interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including staff, faculty, board members, vendors, external partners and others.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Highly resourceful team-player with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
Adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrated highest level of customer service.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, determine priorities, complete assigned projects in a timely manner and work well under tight deadlines.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Power Point applications.
Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred experience and knowledge of Paylocity.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior HR experience.
