JOB SUMMARY:

Performs basic landscape maintenance functions as part of a Horticulture team including watering, weeding, raking of debris, trimming of shrubs, planting of foliage, and back pack blowing of designated areas.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs manual weeding tasks.
• Performs hand watering tasks.
• Performs trimming and pruning of shrubs, ground-covers, and vines using primarily hand-held equipment.
• Performs mulching tasks.
• Performs clean-up tasks.
• Performs digging and planting tasks.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SCOPE:

Responsible for performing basic horticulture functions to include: weeding, watering, trimming, detailing annual beds, mulching, and back pack blowing designated areas.

EDUCATION:

High school degree or GED: Preferred

EXPERIENCE:

• Six months to one year landscape maintenance experience, preferably in upscale commercial or resort environment required
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Valid Florida Driver’s License Required.
