This casual position assists the Short Courses – Education team at ADA with the effective end-to-end administration of short course offerings. The Short Courses Administrator helps ensure that each course and event runs smoothly and that all as sociated administrative processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

The Short Courses Administrator will:

  • Support the end-to-end administration and logistics of short courses, including the preparation, implementation and reporting of each course. This includes, but is not limited to, marketing and communications, liaison with presenters and participants, event coordination, registrations, database maintenance, evaluations, micro-credential administration and financial administration.
  • Respond to in-person, telephone and email enquiries across multiple inboxes and initiate appropriate action while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
  • Provide hands-on event support, including assistance with venue set-up and pack-down, stock monitoring, participant registration, printing, catering and other logistical requirements. Attendance outside regular office hours may occasionally be required.
  • Maintain and submit required professional learning recognition and course records documentation where applicable.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of short courses, professional development and lifelong learning programs.

Skills and experience

  • Advanced time-management, organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A high level of computer literacy, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to provide high-quality customer service and administrative support to clients at all levels.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team, preferably within a customer-service or event-delivery environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels and external stakeholders.
