Remuneration: Level 7 from $118,483 + leave loading + 17% super
Location: UNSW Canberra, ADFA Campus

Why Your Role Matters:
UNSW Canberra is seeking two experienced and motivated Team Leads – Student Administrative Services to lead a team responsible for delivering high-quality student lifecycle services. These roles are ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for service excellence, and the ability to drive innovative process improvements across a complex administrative environment. Our ideal candidate is also comfortable with a significant amount of operational oversight, detailed administration, compliance, processing, quality assurance, and workload management.

 

 

Accountabilities:

• Lead and manage a team to deliver high-quality, student-focused administrative services.
• Oversee student lifecycle functions including but not limited to admission, orientation, enrolment, assessment and graduation.

• Support the development and implementation of student administration procedures and projects with a innovative business improvement focus.
• Provide high-level advice and support to students and staff across UNSW Canberra.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Defence partners.
• Ensure compliance with university policies, governance, and health and safety standards.

 

Who You Are (skills and experience): 

• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in student administration and team leadership.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff in a dynamic and client-focused environment.
• Strong experience across the student lifecycle, including admissions, enrolment, progression, and graduation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes under pressure.
• Experience using complex student systems and data reporting tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience drafting reports, proposals, and business cases.
