Working closely with senior stakeholders, the role drives the comprehensive definition of business needs, data mappings, and cross-functional process improvements to ensure target-state Oracle solutions are highly practical, scalable, and aligned with UNSW’s strategic goals.

- Partner with senior stakeholders to define strategic requirements, assess impacts, and ensure technology outcomes directly align with UNSW's broader strategic objectives.
- Support the finance function throughout the transition by analyzing, mapping, and designing optimal "as-is" and "to-be" process models, with a dedicated focus on Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P) and Acquire to Retire (A2R) streams.
- Collaborate closely with architects, developers, integration teams, and testers to ensure cross-functional solution models meet business requirements, data governance standards, and technical constraints.
- Guide, mentor, and upskill other business analysts across workstreams to maintain consistency, quality, and alignment with project objectives and enterprise architecture.
- Define appropriate analysis approaches and continuously contribute to the development of institutional standards, documentation templates, and quality assurance practices across the University.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, paired with a commitment to UNSW's values, health, and safety responsibilities.
- Significant experience (typically 5+ years) as a business analyst leading strategic, enterprise-scale initiatives within large, complex organizations using Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid frameworks.
- Essential, hands-on knowledge of the Oracle Fusion cloud platform suite, with the ability to confidently navigate its data models, structures, and integration capabilities.
- High-level expertise in core business analysis methodologies, including process mapping, data analysis, requirements elicitation, solution evaluation, and the development of robust business cases.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex system interdependencies, alongside proven leadership experience in guiding, mentoring, and reviewing the work of other analysts.
- Outstanding communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills, with a track record of effectively partnering with diverse stakeholder groups including executive sponsors, technical teams, and end users.
