Why Your Role Matters:
The Education Project Administrator provides day-to-day administrative support for educational projects within the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture. Working closely with the Teaching Support team, Deputy Head of School and School Manager, you'll help deliver projects across the School's Learning & Teaching portfolio while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring high-quality administrative services.

The role reports to the School Manager, with a dotted line to the Teaching Support Lead.

Responsibilities Summary:

  • Support educational projects and business improvement initiatives across the Learning & Teaching portfolio, including Teaching Support improvement projects, Academic Calendar Transition activities and Academic Quality projects.
  • Provide specialist advice on administrative systems, processes and guidelines, including systems such as ECLIPS and ECOS.
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing enquiries and prioritising urgent and sensitive matters.
  • Support day-to-day Teaching Support administration, including Technology Enhanced Learning and Teaching (TELT) administration, Learning Management System (LMS) activities, course enrolments, and assessment and results processes.
  • Prepare and process academic casual contracts in line with School budgets and assist with pay compliance activities.
  • Develop and maintain filing systems, databases, spreadsheets, websites and other administrative systems.
  • Respond to enquiries via phone, email and in person, taking appropriate action or escalating where required.
  • Provide administrative support for School and program activities, including committee secretariat support, bookings, auditions, language placements, student experience surveys, admissions requirements and performance requirements.

Skills and Experience Summary:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Experience working in a tertiary education environment is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative and managing competing priorities independently.
  • Demonstrated experience providing high-quality customer service and administrative support to a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications; experience with UNSW enterprise systems is advantageous.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
