About the role 

The Supervising Psychologist and Placement Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the delivery of the Master of Clinical Neuropsychology program within the School of Psychology, Faculty of Science. 

This role combines clinical supervision, student development, and supporting the Clinical Director with placement coordination across the Neuropsychology Clinic at UNSW and affiliated providers. Working closely with academic and clinical staff, you will support registered psychologists through supervision, feedback, and clinical training, while also supporting the Clinical Director with Workplace Integrated Learning (WIL) coordination and stakeholder engagement. 

This role is suited to an experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist who enjoys mentoring students, contributing to high-quality clinical training, and working collaboratively across clinical and academic environments. 

The program is intentionally small, allowing for a highly supportive and engaged learning environment.

About you 

You are an experienced and collaborative Clinical Neuropsychologist who is passionate about student learning, clinical excellence, and supporting the development of future practitioners. You enjoy working across both clinical and academic environments and bring a thoughtful, student-centred approach to supervision and stakeholder engagement. You will bring: 

  • A postgraduate qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology with significant relevant post-qualification experience  

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist with endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology  

  • Recognition by the Psychology Board of Australia as a Board Approved Supervisor  

  • Demonstrated experience in Clinical Neuropsychology practice, including assessment, intervention, and risk management across a range of client presentations  

  • Experience supervising provisional and/or registered psychologists, including registrars  

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback  

  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills 

Days of work are flexible, provided they are completed during business hours. Due to the nature of the role and student supervision requirements, this position needs to be onsite.
