Details of the role
An Administrative Officer plays a key role in coordinating administrative activities and supporting the Senior Program Coordinator within the Global Health Program (GHP).
The position provides high-level administrative, financial and operational support to ensure the effective delivery of program and project activities, working closely with researchers and stakeholders to support day-to-day operations, reporting, and governance across the program. The successful candidate should have experience working within an academic or research environment.
The role reports to the Senior Program Coordinator. The role has no direct reports.
Some key skills required:
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks accurately with competing deadlines.
- Highly advanced interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail for deliverables produced with demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience providing effective customer service and support to clients at all levels.
- Experience using financial, travel, procurement, and other on-line systems.
Experience providing secretarial support for committees.
- Highly proficient computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
