Why Your Role Matters

The Advisor, Exchange provides essential administrative and student-facing support within the Learning Abroad team to facilitate the delivery of UNSW Exchange programs. Reporting to the Lead, Learning Abroad Exchange, the role ensures the Exchange Program  operates efficiently by contributing to projects,  providing advice to inbound and outbound students and supporting program promotion activities.

The ideal candidate brings excellent customer service capabilities, backed by strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and administrative support to students participating in Exchange programs, based on Exchange policies and escalating complex enquiries when necessary.
  • Manage administrative lifecycles and reporting procedures and the maintenance of accurate electronic records.
  • Support the delivery of Exchange events and projects through efficient scheduling, communications, and routine business improvement suggestions.
  • Collaborate with the Learning Abroad team and university-wide stakeholders to implement and evaluate program activities and resources.
  • Maintain comprehensive filing systems and databases in strict accordance with university policies, data standards, and safety procedures.

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and professional administrative experience.
  • Advanced organisational and time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and solve problems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience providing high-quality customer service to diverse stakeholders.
  • High level of computer literacy, particularly across the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively while exercising sound judgement.
  • Experience contributing to the support and delivery of various projects and institutional initiatives.
