Why Your Role Matters:

As an Administrative Assistant within the Faculty of Law & Justice, you will provide proactive and efficient administrative support to staff, students, and visitors. Working within the Faculty Operations team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of operational support services and supporting a range of academic events including seminars, conferences, and workshops.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this part-time opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic, service-oriented environment and is motivated to deliver high-quality administrative support while contributing to a positive faculty experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for meetings and events, including coordinating bookings, catering, equipment, and materials.
  • Support facilities and space management activities, including office moves and equipment orders.
  • Deliver reception services and telephone support as required.
  • Assist in coordinating Faculty communications, including weekly “What’s On” updates and digital display content
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of Faculty events and activities.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Faculty Operations team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes to enhance service delivery.

 

Who You Are:

You are an organised and proactive administrator with a strong customer service focus. You bring:

  • A Diploma or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic Copilot/ChatGPT EDU knowledge or experience.
  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Alignment with UNSW values and a commitment to safe and ethical work practices.
