Why your role matters
The Project Manager provides high-level operational and practical support to Transnational Education (TNE) teams and stakeholders within the University Office of Global Affairs. Reporting to the Director of TNE, this individual facilitates cross-divisional collaboration, reporting, and analysis to deliver high-impact global programs.
The role is central to building internal and external relationships and developing communication strategies that directly advance the University Global Strategy.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be required to undertake and have experience in the following areas of expertise:
- Lead the development and monitoring of Transnational Education (TNE) initiatives to ensure alignment with the University Global Strategy’s operational and strategic goals.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of TNE projects, including managing project schedules, planning processes, and the production of all technical documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing high-priority correspondence and maintaining effective communication channels.
- Provide strategic project support and discretion to UOGA leadership, managing dependencies, financials, and change requests to ensure project stability.
- Monitor and report on project deliverables—including time, cost, and quality metrics—while identifying risks and proposing solutions to the leadership team.
- Facilitate governance and administration by planning high-level meetings, compiling briefing notes, and ensuring projects adhere to established UNSW governance pathways.
About You
- Postgraduate qualifications, or equivalent experience, combined with extensive professional experience in project management and strategic development
- Proven expertise in the full project life cycle, including the creation of detailed plans, objectives, and technical documentation.
- Strong higher education background. A strong understanding of global education trends and transnational contexts an advantage.
- Exceptional communication skills and high attention to detail, with a focus on producing precise deliverables for diverse stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and a demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resource allocations, and competing deadlines.
- Proactive approach to project work, balancing independent initiative with a collaborative team focus to meet shifting university priorities.
