Why Your Role Matters:
As a Project Officer in the Conduct and Integrity Office CIO, you will contribute to work that strengthens ethical behaviour across the University. The CIO supports the UNSW community by investigating serious complaints and wrongdoing, while also driving initiatives that promote respect, accountability and prevention.
In this role, you will support a diverse and evolving portfolio of projects. This includes improving how complaints are managed, developing guidance for case managers and supporting major policy and procedure implementation including the Complaints Management and Investigations Policy and Procedure (CMIPP). Your work will have real impact across areas such as academic integrity, research integrity and public interest disclosures.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide practical and proactive project and change support across a broad range of initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the delivery of CIO projects and initiatives aligned to strategic and operational goals
- Assisting with project planning, scheduling and coordination across the project lifecycle
- Monitoring progress, tracking risks and issues and supporting project reporting
- Coordinating meetings, workshops and project administration, including minutes and follow ups
- Developing clear and effective communications for internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting change management activities to embed new processes and policies
- Building strong relationships across the University and with key stakeholders
- Contributing to improving processes and procedures for managing complaints and integrity matters
- Supporting governance requirements to ensure projects are delivered within established frameworks
About You:
You are a highly organised and proactive individual who thrives in a fast paced and people focused environment. You bring a can-do attitude, take initiative and are comfortable managing multiple priorities.
You will demonstrate:
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing demands
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
- The ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and simplify complex information
- Initiative, adaptability and a willingness to learn quickly on the job
- The ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Experience in project support, complaints handling, customer service or policy environments will be highly regarded. An understanding of or interest in integrity, compliance or trauma informed environments is a bonus but not essential.
Most importantly, you are curious, solutions focused and motivated to contribute to a respectful and ethical community at UNSW.
