The Opportunity

  • Contribute to capability building and the broader research strategy at UNSW
  • Full-time (35 hrs week), fixed term contract from 1 June 2026 to 15 Jan 2027
  • $103,866-$110,801 + 17% super, pro-rata

The Project Officer – Research Training provides practical and efficient project support for project teams and key stakeholders.  Key responsibilities include project coordination and support, reporting and analytical support, developing communications, building key internal and external relationships, and providing administrative support for key researcher training programs and projects.

Who you are

You bring strong project experience, including a sound understanding of project lifecycles, planning, and documentation and can demonstrate well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across both academic and professional staff.

 You are proficient in a range of systems and tools, including Microsoft 365 (with Copilot), Moodle, and survey and event platforms such as Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, and Eventbrite and highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

You work effectively both independently and collaboratively, exercising sound judgement and initiative within complex institutional environments, while adhering to organisational policies, guidelines, and health and safety requirements (both psychosocial and physical).
