The Liverpool Study Hub is a community-driven space designed for any current and future tertiary students, regardless of where they are studying, to support their academic journey into and throughout their tertiary education; offering study spaces, learning support and wellbeing services in their local community.

 

Why Your Role Matters:
As Administrative Officer, you will provide effective day-to-day administrative support within the Liverpool Study Hub to ensure all services are provided efficiently to meet the operating needs of the Hub. This includes purchasing, onsite support, co- ordinating meetings, events, IT and equipment procurement and other administrative support as required.

As a newly established position within in the recently opened Study Hub, the Officer will contribute to the development and implementation of administrative processes and procedures to support the efficient management of the Hub’s operational needs.

Reporting to the Hub Manager, you will work in collaboration with Hub staff, UNSW teams and external partners to support the Hub in improving student experience in their community, by ensuring high-quality customer-service and efficient administrative services delivery for the space.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Undertaking administrative tasks including purchasing, record keeping, reconciling, as well as the coordination of meetings, events and programs.
  • Managing in-person, phone and email mailbox of the Hub which requires responses to a range of inquiries by developing a thorough understanding of the activities of Hub policies and practices.
  • Implementing recording keeping systems and maintaining databases and information lists, and updating information on websites and other communications channels
  • Developing and improving administrative workflow systems of the Hub to support an efficient and student-centred service.

You Will Have: We’re seeking an experienced Administrator with the confidence to implement and maintain new administrative processes, a strong commitment to excellent customer service, and a positive, adaptable approach as the Hub establishes its place in the community.

You’ll hold the following skills & experience:

  • Advanced time management, organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience providing effective customer service and support to clients at all levels.
  • Highly proficient computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to make sound judgements and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and contributing to projects and initiatives.
  • Advanced numeracy skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide and supervise staff.
