Join our dynamic team as a Business Analyst and play a key role in shaping the future of digital and business solutions across the University. In this role, you will partner with diverse business units, IT teams, and project stakeholders to understand business needs, assess change impacts, and deliver innovative, integrated solutions that drive strategic goals.
You will act as the bridge between business and technology, leading analysis, facilitating critical discussions, and supporting the development of business cases that enable high-impact improvements across student, academic, and operational systems. Beyond individual projects, you will help strengthen business analysis frameworks and contribute to advancing best practices, ensuring the University continues to deliver effective, sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative, complex environment where your insights and expertise will directly influence how the University evolves and succeeds.
Specific accountabilities include:
- Lead business analysis activities on large-scale or strategically significant projects, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution design.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across faculties, divisions, and technical teams to understand business drivers, document requirements, and align outcomes with institutional priorities.
- Write clear and concise business requirements in the required formats that articulate the needs of Future Students and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Analyse and model “as-is” and “to-be” business processes and assess the operational and strategic impacts of proposed changes.
About You:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, IT or related field, with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and/or experience.
- Demonstrated experience working in a digital business analyst role or similar
- Strong experience with Adobe Products, including Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics, and Adobe Campaign.
- Experience working with AI tools and automation platforms (e.g., conversational bots, workflow automation, or AI‑enhanced analytics), along with strong documentation skills to capture processes, requirements, and system behaviours clearly.
- Advanced consultation, influencing and negotiation skills and proven ability to engage effectively with diverse range of stakeholders at different levels within an organisation to achieve successful outcomes.
- Demonstrable strong problem solving and analytical skills, and proven capacity to exercise initiative, flexibility and to be proactive in development of robust solutions to problems.
- Outstanding organisational and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across a matrix organisation, ideally with experience of Agile Methodologies.
- Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
- Working knowledge of the Higher Education industry and related technologies is desirable.
