The Opportunity
- Full-time (35 hrs week) fixed term contract to 18 December 2026
- Hybrid/Flexible working, including 9-day fortnight option available
- $88,717- $100,386 (depending on experience) + 17% super, pro-rata
Research Grants and Contracts (RGC) within the Division of Research contributes to UNSW’s research performance and profile via the effective management of the University’s research income. RGC is the key link between UNSW researchers, executive and funding agencies such as the NHMRC, ARC, other government and non-government research funders, philanthropic competitive grant funders and industry partners.
The Single Point of Contact (SPOC) team works collaboratively in a supportive environment to deliver responsive, high-quality support to UNSW researchers. Key responsibilities are managing the CASD ticketing system to triage and allocate requests across the RGC team, while acting as a key point of contact for enquiries and ensuring a helpful, service-focused experience.
The Allocation Assistant – SPOC reports to the Project Officer SPOC and has no direct reports.

Skills and Experience Required
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, to provide responsive, people-focused support in a service environment.
- Experience with service management or ticketing systems such as CASD, ServiceNow, or similar systems.
- Project coordination or project management experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities, track progress, and contribute to the successful delivery of one-off projects or operational improvements.
