Why your role matters
We are seeking an innovative Educational Developer with a strong computing background to support and drive technology-enhanced learning initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who can design and develop AI agents, applications, and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning. You will work closely with academic staff and professional teams to support the integration of technology into teaching practice and contribute to meaningful improvements in student learning experiences.
We are particularly interested in candidates who bring a combination of technical expertise and an understanding of higher education teaching and learning. Experience working with academics to support pedagogical change and innovation is highly valued.
Accountabilities
Accountabilities for the role include:

Provide pedagogical and technical expertise to support the design and delivery of educational projects and courses aligned with strategic objectives, including guidance to academic staff on teaching practices, University policies, and the implementation of the Flex-semester academic calendar and technology-enhanced learning.

Drive the adoption and effective use of educational technologies across programs and courses, including generative AI.

Design, deliver and evaluate academic development activities and resources that build teaching capability.

Work collaboratively within the EDQ team and collaborate with other teams, Faculties and Division units to identify, develop, and deliver education support initiatives.

Perform other duties as required by the EDQ manager and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the work unit.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- A strong background in computing, software development, or a related field
- Experience (or demonstrated capability) in developing AI tools, applications, or digital solutions
- Understanding of higher education contexts, including pedagogies and teaching and learning practices
- Experience working collaboratively with academics to support teaching and learning enhancement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
