The Marketing & Digital Experience portfolio drives innovative engagement across four key areas: Marketing & Content, Digital Experience, Strategy & Performance, and Future Student Recruitment, with operations also extending to offshore teams in China and India.

We are seeking a Content & Marketing Specialist (Academic Calendar) to join the Marketing & Content team, focused on Future Students within the Division of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Student Experience (DVCESE). In this role, you will lead the planning and execution of search engine optimisation (SEO) strategies and related marketing activities to attract and recruit future students. Reporting to the Future Students Marketing Lead, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact initiatives that directly support student growth and engagement.

Specific accountabilities include:

  • Contributing actively to the Marketing & Content team—delivering customer centric service, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the Head of Future Students Marketing & Content to deliver effective search and content related strategies as well as implementation.
  • Create, edit and monitor ongoing search content including prospective student lead capture, nurture communications and conversion campaigns.
  • Provide reports and analysis on search and content marketing activity against established performance metrics and identify optimisation opportunities.
  • Use Siteimprove, Adobe Experience Cloud and partner with our paid media agencies to identify keywords, optimise content and advertising and ensure best practice SEO.
  • Writing and publishing web content aligned with technical, legal, and brand standards
  • Supporting the Marketing Architect on the academic calendar transformation work plan.
  • Coordinating content development: search insights, fact-checking, sourcing, and crafting compelling copy for Future Student audiences
  • Publishing via Adobe Experience Manager and UNSW sites, leveraging automation tools (content & experience fragments)
  • Monitoring and reporting on web performance metrics to drive ongoing optimisation

About You:

  • A relevant tertiary education with demonstrated experience working with SEO and content marketing, or an equivalent level of competency gained through any combination of education, training or experience. Experience with an agency or large matrix organisation is preferable
  • Digital marketing experience including understanding of marketing automation, SEO optimisation and customer lifecycle marketing. Experience working with Adobe stack or equivalent enterprise level marketing solutions is essential. Understanding of digital content systems and automation; experience with AEM, Wrike, Trello, SEMRush, Siteimprove, or Figma is a plus
  • Sound stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively across a matrix organisation, ideally with experience of Agile Ways of Working.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
