- Remuneration: Level 7/8 $113,926 - $143,489 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading

Why Your Role Matters:
The Division of Societal Impact, Equity and Engagement (SIEE) leads UNSW’s work to create positive social impact, advance equity and support meaningful community engagement. As part of this mission, the Advancement Digital Communications Officer helps strengthen our connection with alumni, donors and partners through high-quality, strategic digital communications.
Based in the Alumni Experience team, the role delivers coordinated and creative digital content that reflects UNSW’s priorities and enhances engagement. As UNSW explores a more integrated communications model across Advancement, the reporting line for this one-year contract role may evolve.
Key Responsibilities:
Level 7
- Produce engaging digital communications across email, web and social media.
- Manage Advancement’s digital channels, including scheduling, updates and reporting.
- Support integrated campaigns and stewardship with consistent, audience-focused messaging.
- Use engagement data to improve content and timing.
- Collaborate across Advancement to align messaging and streamline workflows.
- Contribute to campaigns, events and stories highlighting alumni and donor impact.
Level 8
(In addition to Level 7)
- Lead digital communication strategies to strengthen alumni and donor engagement.
- Oversee planning and delivery of integrated, high-impact campaigns.
- Provide expertise on optimising digital content and channels.
- Manage key internal stakeholder relationships to ensure coordinated communications.
- Introduce new tools and approaches to innovate digital engagement.
- Monitor and report on strategy performance with recommendations for improvement.
Who You Are:
- You have relevant tertiary qualifications and 5+ years’ experience in higher education, corporate or not-for-profit sectors.
- You bring strong marketing and communications skills and are a strategic, innovative digital communicator.
- You are an excellent written, visual and verbal communicator with experience across multiple digital channels.
- You understand digital marketing (SEO, SEM, analytics) and apply insights to improve engagement.
- You have experience developing digital strategies and delivering integrated campaigns.
- You are confident with email systems, CMS platforms and design tools.
- You have strong project management skills and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
