The Opportunity

The School of Computer Science and Engineering has an opportunity for a Teaching Support Coordinator. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the delivery of teaching support services across the School. It involves providing strategic direction, operational oversight, and expert advice to ensure the effective implementation and continuous improvement of learning, teaching, and assessment programs for both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework. In this role, you will work closely with academic leaders, program directors, and the teaching support team to drive innovation, ensure compliance, and promote excellence in teaching support.

This role will report to the School Manager. with a dotted line report to the Faculty Teaching Support Team Lead and has no direct reports. and will have no direct reports.

  • Salary, Level 7: Starting at $113,926 to $123,301 per annum + 17% superannuation
  • Full time
  • Continuous (permanent)
  • Location: Kensington – Sydney, Australia
  • Predominantly on-site role, with the option to work from home one day per week.

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in teaching administration or academic support within a tertiary environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring and developing staff.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight deadlines.
  • Advanced communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • In-depth knowledge of university policies, academic regulations, and accreditation requirements.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and professional development.
  • High level of digital literacy, including experience with student management systems, learning management platforms, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the university’s values, objectives, and health and safety responsibilities.
