In this role, you will coordinate project activities, support meaningful stakeholder engagement, manage key project documentation and help ensure the seamless delivery of innovation-focused initiatives. You will also provide essential administrative support to keep team operations running smoothly, working closely with project leads, educational designers and academic partners across faculties and central divisions.

This position is an individual contributor role with no direct reports and calls for exceptional organisational, communication and relationship-building abilities, along with a genuine commitment to advancing educational excellence at UNSW. The role reports directly to the Lead, Education Innovation.

Specific accountabilities for this role include:

  • Supporting communication and engagement activities across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including academic staff, professional services, and external partners, coordinating meetings, maintain stakeholder contact lists, and help prepare agendas, notes, and follow-up actions.
  • Drafting communications, reports and project updates for internal distribution. Maintain document repositories (e.g. SharePoint, Teams) and assist with the creation of accessible and professional templates, presentations and digital assets for use in briefings and workshops.
  • Assisting in the organisation and delivery of events related to education innovation initiatives, supporting logistics such as venue booking, participant communications, materials preparation, and event follow-up.

About You:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in project coordination, administration, education support, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex projects, including maintaining documentation, tracking timelines, and organising meetings.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting communications, creating documentation, and supporting stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Proficiency in the use of digital tools and platforms such as Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word), SharePoint, and project management software (e.g. Trello, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Awareness of the higher education environment and interest in digital learning, educational innovation, or academic program delivery (desirable).
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, particularly in support of UNSW’s values and strategic education initiatives.
