  • Remuneration: Level 8 $123,044 - $138637 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading
  • Location: Kensington, NSW (hybrid)

Why your Role Matters:

The Strategic Projects and Operations Team (SPOT) leads projects that solve institution wide problems across the University in line with UNSW strategy. The Business Analyst plays a key role in the planning, delivery and support of projects in SPOT. The role involves using business analysis methodology, strong interpersonal skills and, business knowledge and understanding to contribute to the successful delivery of projects by planning and carrying out business analysis activities.

Note that this is not an IT business analysis role.

The role reports to the Senior Business Analyst, SPOT and has no direct reports.

To be successful in this role, the key skills and experience you will possess include:

  • A solid understanding of business analysis methodology, tools and capabilities and demonstrated experience putting these into practice.  
  • Strong experience and understanding of developing and utilising process maps and other high-quality artefacts that support project objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the capability to develop positive working relationships with team members, fostering collaboration and openness and building trust and confidence with a wide range of stakeholders at different levels within an organisation.
  • High level communication and facilitation skills with the ability to convey ideas and information through appropriate formats for different audiences.
  • High level conceptual and analytical skills with the capacity to understand, clearly define and communicate problems and to identify and recommend solutions for a range of complex issues.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and complex environment by adapting to changing priorities.
