About this role:
This role will be instrumental in fostering a high-performance culture within the People Services Operational Leadership by promoting growth, collaboration, and a continuous improvement mindset with our own staff, and our faculties and divisions.
This role will work in close collaboration with our Director of People Operations overseeing essential People & Culture services, including payroll, superannuation and casual employee engagement and administration. This role requires strategic leadership and adaptability, guiding the evolution of the service model to improve service delivery across UNSW and the employee experience.
About You:
- Extensive experience leading P&C shared service delivery function in a large complex organisation.
- Proven success in managing case resolution processes, including tracking, reporting, and escalations.
- Demonstrated success in implementing significant process improvements that reduce risk and enhance customer outcomes – Lean Six Sigma training would be desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, HR compliance frameworks, and payroll practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. You must be proficient in case management, ticketing systems, and data analytics to inform decision-making and process improvements.
- Proven ability to lead cultural and operational change, with a focus on simplification and service excellence.
- Extensive and in depth understanding of payroll related operations within a large or complex organisation environment
