The Opportunity
Manage a team of dedicated administrators to support the implementation and eventual business as usual Time and Attendance processes across the university.

Working with stakeholders across the University, you’ll provide trusted leadership to the centralised ‘Hub Team’, efficiently managing their day-to-day operations, as well as creating links to the Faculty Teams to ensure stakeholders have access to high-quality and consistent process and practice support as needed.

This role is vital in embedding new and robust Time and Attendance processes and practices across the university that support the continuing uplift of UNSW's capabilities surrounding time capture and pay confidence. Your day to day will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of Hub team, setting team priorities to triage and resolve all Time & Attendance issues and queries.
  • Driving the Time and Attendance engagement process for the university, ensuring alignment across Faculties and Divisions
  • Taking a strategic oversight of process improvements that address repeat issues and queries, actively monitoring the effectiveness of current practices, working closely with senior leaders in HR.
  • Acting as an escalation point for complex queries across the area.
  • Providing subject matter expertise for Time & Attendance related training.
  • Ensuring compliant and sustainable business processes and supporting systems, supporting staff across UNSW with accurately engaging with Time & Attendance

This role will report to the Head of HR Quality and Compliance and will have up to 5 direct reports.

Skills and experience summary: We’re looking for an experienced Manager with the confidence to lead a team of Administrators dedicated to offering a high-quality service in a dynamic environment. Practiced in setting team priorities, you’re comfortable working in a fast-paced and complex organisation and setting up your team for success, alongside the following:

  • Experience managing and leading a team of administrators.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent client service.
  • Proven experience in successful embedding of new processes in a large/ complex environment.
  • Proven ability to analyse and interpret data, drawing key trends to inform process, procedure, or policy improvement.
  • Ability to consult internal stakeholders to inform practical process improvement ideas and proactively foster working relationships to ensure compliance.
  • Driven to succeed, self-motivated and able to work independently with limited direction or guidance.
