Contract Manager (x 1)                                                                                          Starting from $123,044 + 17% super

  • Lead and manage complex commercial contracts and procurement processes.
  • Provide strategic advice and support to stakeholders on contractual matters.
  • Manage a team of Contracts Officers
  • Oversee contract lifecycle

The Contracts Manager is a senior team member responsible for delivering high-quality, customer-focused services in post-award research agreements. The role involves leading contract reviews, providing negotiation advice, and collaborating closely with senior managers, the Legal Office, Industry & Innovation, and the broader RCG teams. The Contracts Manager also supports team development and may supervise up to five direct reports, reporting to the Senior Manager, Contracts.

Who you are

You have relevant experience in the review and preparation of agreements for a range of contract and competitive grants and can demonstrate your ability to handle complex legal issues and negotiate with diverse stakeholders. Strong relationship and strategic planning skills are essential, along with discretion in managing sensitive matters. Contracts Officers (x4)                                                                                           Starting from $110,073 + 17% super

  • Deliver high-quality customer services in competitive grant and tender applications.
  • Develop your understanding of Australian higher education and international research funding landscapes.
  • Work under pressure in a high-volume grant environment.
  • Cultivate and navigate relationships across the University.

The Contracts Officers support the review, negotiation, and provision of advice on competitive and contract research agreements, working collaboratively with the Legal Office, Industry & Innovation, and RGC teams. Each year, RGC supports over 2,000 UNSW academics, managing more than 2,800 applications and 6,000 ongoing projects. These roles report to a Contracts Manager and do not have direct reports.
