Research Officer (School of Population Health)

  • Employment Type: Part - time (7 hours a week)
  • Duration: Fixed Term contract until December 2025
  • Remuneration: $100,354 base prorated (+ 17% Super, leave loading)
  • Location: Kensington, Sydney

Why this role matters 

Play a key role in supporting research projects as part of a multidisciplinary team of researchers around communication and engagement during pandemics and other health crises.

The position will provide technical and research assistance to senior research staff in activities associated with the Community driven communication and engagement during health crisis periods: co-designing enhanced and transferable strategies project, including the recruitment of participants, completion of in-depth interviews/co-design sessions and analysis of data.

Some key skills required:

  • A university degree in public health or related discipline, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training or experience.
  • Knowledge of research protocols, experimental design and planning as involved in developing research projects and reporting against milestones.
  • Experience with qualitative research
  • Demonstrated superior interpersonal communication skills to initiate and maintain effective
  • stakeholder relationships whilst exercising discretion and confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
