We are seeking an experienced Hospitality Manager to lead a high performing team based in Armidale at a large education site. In this challenging and diverse role, you will be responsible for overseeing campus-wide functions, residential catering, and student dining. This is a role for a focused and motivated manager or a great opportunity for a head chef to make the move into site management who thrives on a challenge and enjoys motivating, mentoring and building an effective and professional team, stakeholder relations will be a strength of yours. The ideal candidate will have previous cooking experience, preferably from a commercial kitchen.
The Person:
- Relevant industry experience at management level
- Good communication and people management skills are essential
- Proactive leader who is professional, positive and supportive
- High levels of customer satisfaction
- Some previous chef experience
- High levels of organisation
The Position:
- Responsible for H&S, financial reporting and rostering
- Communicate and work collaboratively with the client on all aspects of delivering a quality service
- Developing leadership and employee capability, and foster a high-performance culture through continuous improvement and innovation
- Build and leverage effective stakeholder relationships to achieve business objectives
- Catering at a high level for events and functions (internal and external stakeholders)
- Quality delivery and oversight of residential boarding requirements
- Oversight of the development and professional presentation of the commercial café staff
- Personally develop every team member by listening, coaching, supporting and encouraging them to optimize performance
- Oversight of the administrative functions associated within your responsibility remit
