 Apprentice Chef

$22.50 p/h + 12% superannuation

  • Full-time Monday – Friday role
  • Attend on campus training 1 day a week
  • School holidays off

The Position

  • Fully paid Australian recognised trade qualification at the end of completion of the 3-year apprenticeship.
  • Above award pay rate.
  • Paid days when you attend campus training.
  • Uniforms and knife kits supplied.
  • Be mentored by some amazing chefs who have developed their passion for food from all over the world.

 

The Person

  • Previous experience as a cook or kitchen hand, desirable.
  • Certificate II in Cookery, desirable
  • Have the commitment to complete the 3-year program.
  • Have a can do, flexible and positive attitude towards work, takes pride in your work and learning.
  • You are punctual and can be a reliable team player.
  • Most importantly, have a genuine interest in all things culinary and be a real “foodie”.

If you have previous work experience in the kitchen, you may have the opportunity to fast track your apprenticeship through Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) of some units.
