We are on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Chef Manager who takes pride in delivering high-quality food and service. This is a unique opportunity to step into a dual role where you'll be responsible not only for food service but also for the overall village management of a small camp.

Role Details:

• 8/6 roster

• Small Camp

• Previous experience as a Chef Manager is essential

• FIFO experience required

This is an ideal opportunity for a skilled chef with strong culinary expertise who is looking to grow their career and transition into village management. The Role

• Maintain effective client and business relationships

• Responsible for stock control, budgets, rostering, mentoring & training staff

• Buffet style bulk cooking

• Ensure OH&S compliance, adhering to safe work practices and food handling procedures

• Ensure all catering controls are in place, and wastage is kept to a minimum

• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards

Role Requirements 

• Chef Qualifications / Cert III in Commercial Cookery

• Experience within bulk catering environments

• Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations

• Experience in menu writing, rostering and cost control

• Experience with hygienic work practices and appropriate HACCP guidelines

• Current valid Driver's License

• Current National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain one)
