The Position
Based in Perth WA, this exciting leadership opportunity to join our Health and wellbeing team - Tastelife. This is an exciting opportunity for a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract, with the potential for extension.
The Central Community Coordinator is responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and delivery of events and engagement initiatives outlined in the Calendar of events and Community Engagement Plan (CEP) across multiple sites. Working in collaboration with Culinary Services, Tastelife, Operations and other stakeholders, this role ensures events are inclusive, strategically aligned, well-communicated, and effectively documented.
The role supports a connected, inclusive, and vibrant workplace community by managing centralised event logistics, stakeholder coordination, and post-event analysis, contributing to a positive resident and workforce experience. Health, Safety, and adherence to Compass Group’s Safety Culture are critical to all aspects of this role.
Reporting to the National Manager Health & Wellbeing, the focus of your role will be:
- Event Planning and Coordination
- Stakeholder engagement
- Communications and Promotion
- Monitoring and Reporting
- Administrative and Operational Support
The role will also drive cross sector strategy development and supporting the growth of the Tastelife program. The role will be based in Perth but will be required to travel to sites frequently to develop strong relationships with site teams our clients and employees.
The Person
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in project management and event management
- Strong project management skills
- Experience in stakeholder and client relations
- Effective communication & interpersonal skills
- High level organisation and attention to detail
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Solution-focused problem-solving skills
- Ability to work according to budget, time frames, policies, and procedures
- Ability to analyse data and prepare reports
- Digital literacy – MS Office suite, apps etc
Desirable
- Experience in leading high performing teams
- Proven capability in developing, delivering, and evaluating community engagement projects
- Administration background or demonstrated analytical and research skills, including conducting research and community consultation
- Hospitality background
