In this senior leadership role, you’ll shape and execute enterprise-wide communication strategies that connect people to purpose, align our teams to business priorities, and elevate our brand in the market. From internal culture to external reputation, you’ll be at the forefront of how we communicate who we are and where we’re going.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and lead national communication strategies that align with our five-year plan and purpose
  • Partner with the ALT, Executive Directors, and sector leaders to deliver high-impact communication across all levels
  • Champion internal communications initiatives including Town Halls, leader forums, intranet enhancements, and digital engagement
  • Craft compelling content for diverse audiences—employees, clients, media, and the broader community
  • Lead crisis communication and coach senior leaders to be visible, credible, and consistent communicators
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of external media, digital communications, and public relations efforts
  • Leverage data insights to drive strategy and report performance to the executive team
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing communications and digital team

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic communications, preferably in a large, complex organisation
  • Exceptional writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to support and influence senior leaders
  • Experience in digital and social media strategy, content creation, and internal engagement
  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, PR, Marketing or a related field
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • Experience in crisis communications and high-stakes messaging
