THE POSITION
- Typically, Monday to Friday with availability to support as needed for major events.
- Build strong relationships with clients and develop a thorough understanding of all contractual requirements; encourage managers to do the same
- Create an amazing customer experience in conjunction with running a profitable commercial operation.
- Building and leveraging effective stakeholder relationships to achieve business objectives including taking a collective approach to working with other operations managers for the common goal.
- Actively develop and execute strategies to reduce labour turnover.
- Brilliant leadership is at the epicentre of this role.
- Effectively oversee multiple sites/operations to ensure that they are performing to the highest standard including performance within budgets, food service, brand standards, management of safety outcomes and improved employee capability and client engagement.
- Develop a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership to the onsite team across retail, boarding and function catering and hospitality services – exposure to these services highly regarded!
- Lead and drive new site mobilisations as required.
THE PERSON
- 3+ years of demonstrable experience in an operations management role, overseeing multiple venues is essential.
- A passion for food and retail services, always striving for superior customer service.
- Strong and effective leadership skills with the ability to support, motivate, coach effectively manage, and communicate with individuals working across a fast paced and complex environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage a budget/P+L.
- Experience within the Education sector would be highly desirable but not essential.
