We are seeking an enthusiastic Head Chef to join our dynamic team and collaborate with key stakeholders to elevate the client floor, enhance the menu, and drive exceptional service, supported by an experienced Key Account Manager and Client.
The position
- Lead the culinary services in creating high-quality, innovative menus (breakfasts, lunches, dinners, degustation with wine pairings). ensuring consistency, quality, and smooth kitchen operations.
- Implement and monitor food safety protocols (HAACP), maintaining strict hygiene standards and a safe kitchen environment.
- Champion local, seasonal, and plant-forward ingredients, collaborating with vendors to ensure sustainable sourcing.
- Mentor and train junior chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.
- Build strong relationships with clients and vendors, ensuring expectations are met and high-quality ingredients are consistently available.
- Drive kitchen cost control, waste reduction, and collaboration with front-of-house teams for seamless service delivery.
The Person:
- 2 years proven experience as a Head Chef or minimum of 5 years industry experience at senior culinary level in a high-volume fine dining establishment (Hatted experience highly regarded).
- Strong knowledge of food safety (HAACP) and hygiene standards.
- Passion for sustainability and locally sourced ingredients.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to plan, develop, and cost menus effectively.
- Chef's Trade Qualifications.
