Having identified operational excellence as a critical focus area, our FoodBuy business have developed a Process Improvement Manager role charged with supporting the Procurement and Foodbuy team to drive outstanding performance of Procurement end to end process from a supplier, customer, financial and effectiveness perspective. This role will develop and implement best practice Procurement frameworks and tools to enable a step change in Procurement practices and will be a champion for driving customer connected change at an end to end process level.

The Position

In order to succeed in this role, you will possess strong strategic, analytical and planning abilities with excellent negotiation and relationship management skills. This role will also assist the review of all processes, ensuring they are mapped, have an AS IS state and end state vision and track process towards the end state.

  • Lead process improvement activities that add value, efficiency and innovation, eliminate waste and duplication.
  • Develop and implement templates, tools and resources for increasing Procurement capability and best practice frameworks and tools
  • Balance process efficiency and outcomes by utilizing a process improvement mindset.
  • Work to optimise our instance of Jaggaer.
  • Develop, implement, own and maintain the process and systems required through the Foodbuy Procurement framework process including but not limited to contract management framework, spend visibility, risk management
  • Understand Best Practice Procurement change strategies, identifying interdependencies across the procurement function and wider business and potential implications of approved change initiatives.
  • Development and implementation of change activity plans for approved procurement change initiatives.
  • Support stakeholder understanding of change activities and their role in delivering the end outcome.
  • Manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and achieve tight deadlines.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a mature suite of standard approaches and tools to support all key procurement activities, reflective of any process changes arising from new initiatives.
  • Relevant Procurement Strategic Plan activities completed on schedule.

The Person

  • Tertiary studies or qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Finance, Economics, Logistics, Management, Commerce or Business Negotiating –
  • Advanced knowledge of, or experience in, audit/compliance assessment of quality processes Timely Decision Making
  • Experience in systematic business improvement processes
  • Experience in successfully participating in the delivery of strategic procurement change initiatives
  • Experience in Contract Management and sourcing within an FMCG and / or formal Procurement environment of at least 5 years.
  • Sound understanding of Procurement technologies (experience with Jaeggaer advantageous)
