This is a great opportunity to join the Corporate Talent Acquisition team as the Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Coordinator, reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition, where you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process for all new starters, internal transfers, and contractors within The Star Corporate functions. This is a fantastic opportunity, where you will work closely with the Talent Acquisition team and play a pivotal role in supporting the engagement of every candidate, from the moment they are selected for a position to joining us on their first day.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Conduct and complete all required probity checks for new starters, internal transfers, and contractors.
  • Execute to a high standard, managing data entry in the tracking systems with attention to detail, ensuring that probity checks are conducted accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments, Licensing, Investigations, Employee Relations and external agencies, Equifax, and Federal Police, to facilitate background checks and any other necessary screenings.
  • Ensure Compliance and Regulatory knowledge by staying up to date with relevant policies, procedures, legal requirements, and compliance standards related to The Star talent acquisition and onboarding process.
  • Communicate with new hires, internal transfers, and contractors to collect, review, and process their documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

What we will be looking for:

  • Previous experience in a high-volume HR administrative role in a regulatory environment is advantageous
  • High attention to detail, proficient data entry, and meticulous record keeping.
  • Previous experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) (or similar) and confident using Excel.
  • Experience in a high volume and fast-paced recruitment environment.
  • Experience using PageUp, Fit2Work, and VEVO is highly advantageous.
  •  Tertiary qualification is advantageous, but not required.
