Are you an experienced Financial Accountant with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality accounting services? The Star Brisbane is looking for a dedicated Financial Accountant to join our dynamic Finance Team. Reporting directly to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering top-notch financial accounting services, ensuring compliance with policies and meeting deadlines, all while contributing to the continued success of The Star Brisbane.

A few of your responsibilities   

• Perform financial accounting services for the property/function including journal processing, month end GL close, balance sheet reconciliations, basic management reporting and tax support.
• Assist with delivering monthly reporting to business partners including Balance Sheets, reconciliation summaries, P&L analysis.
• Preparation of reporting packs for The Star Brisbane and business units where required
• Preparation of Regulatory Reporting
• Investigate and resolve transactional issues (such as misallocations, late adjustments, inter-company mismatches). Escalate where required.
• Perform analysis of P&L to assist with month end processing  

What we will be looking for  

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CA/CPA qualified (or currently studying)
• At least three years’ experience in similar financial accounting role
• Good communication skills
• High level of numeracy and reconciliation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience within a highly regulated or gaming environment is highly regarded
