The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre. This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.
As part of our Gaming Analytics team, you’ll work across Compliance, Safer Gaming, Risk, and Financial Crime to deliver actionable insights, develop predictive models, and support decision-making that drives growth, guest safety, and operational excellence.

A few of your responsibilities
- Support key teams with analytics, modelling, and reporting to ensure regulatory compliance and guest wellbeing.
- Extract and analyse data from The Star Brisbane’s systems to build statistical models and predictive tools that inform business strategy and revenue optimisation.
- Deliver insight-led recommendations on gaming product pricing, marketing spend, loyalty initiatives, and more.
- Champion a data-led culture by contributing to test-and-learn initiatives and standardised performance dashboards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure our analytics support smarter, faster decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, our WHS Management System, and The Star’s Code of Conduct.
- Contribute to The Star’s sustainability goals through mindful data and operational practices.
What we will be looking for
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an analytics or data science role.
- Tertiary qualification in business, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
- Experience with predictive modelling, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills – with attention to detail that’s second to none.
- Understanding of casino operations, industry regulations and reporting requirements is highly desirable.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About us
The $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf Brisbane development is being delivered by Destination Brisbane Consortium – a joint venture led by The Star Entertainment Group alongside its partners.
