Your Impact
As Brewing Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of Brewing Operators at our Yatala Brewery, driving a culture of excellence across safety, quality and production performance. You will be planning and allocating tasks, ensuring adequate coverage, and working collaboratively to solve any break-down or quality issues throughout the brewing process.
In this position you have the ability to make an impact on the future of the Brewery, setting clear goals and standards, growing the capability of your team, influencing a positive and inclusive culture, and developing your successor in anticipation of your own career growth.
Please note that this position requires availability to work a rotating roster of 12-hour Day & Night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control production process
- Ensure that process changes are implemented as per instruction from the Technical Brewers
- Management of team shift handover and representation of all shifts at the daily production team meetings
- Ensure correct and timely entry of process data into the appropriate systems
- Complete accurate and timely shift admin and reports.
- Monitor and control the process and perform the required actions needed to correct out of control processes
- Share information/instructions at meetings to focus on shift performance gap closure
- Facilitate effective teamwork through role allocation, tracking and conflict resolution
About You
While knowledge of brewing processes would be a great start, we have the ability to support and train you. Ultimately, we are looking for a capable leader, motivated to drive performance and culture within a fast-paced environment.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Similar experience leading operations teams in a manufacturing environment – FMCG or Brewing preferred
- Ability to build strong working relationships and influence change
- Ability to identify and implement improvements, with experience in implementing new standards or processes effectively
- Open-minded and adaptable, with the motivation to proactively up-skill
- Prior experience managing a unionised workforce
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively across multiple levels/departments within a diverse workforce
- A strong safety-mindset, and experience influencing a safety conscious culture, adhering to PPE requirements and safe operating procedures
