Ferris State University invites applications for the position of Assistant Coach. The Assistant Cheer and Stunt Coach will support the head coach in developing the foundation for the NCAA Division II Stunt program and building a program respected for its commitment to the mission and core values of Ferris State University which will begin competition in the 2025-26 academic year. The assistant coach will support all aspects of the Cheer & Stunt program. The assistant coach supports the head coach in all aspects of the program including creating and communicating the vision of a program seeking to reach unprecedented levels of success. Successfully organizing and implementing a comprehensive recruiting and retention plan, supporting student-athlete success in all areas of the student experience, and integrating the program into the campus community. Supervising practice and managing competitions, management of resources provided by the University which supports the essential components of the program and is actively involved in any additional fundraising to enhance resources for the program. Required: Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Fitness or related program. One year of stunt, cheer, or gymnastics coaching experience at the professional, college or high school level; or three years of participation at professional or college level. Knowledge of and experience in recruiting.

Associate Provost for Academic Operations in Big Rapids, MI 49307
The role of the Associate Provost for Academic Operations (APAO) is critical in the office of Academic Affairs, as it involves providing leadership and oversight for the operations of the Academic Affairs Division with the ability to navigate relationships, communicate effectively, and understand the needs of the division. The APAO is charged with building and maintaining a team-based approach to various aspects, including, but not limited to; academic policy development, academic planning, enrollment initiatives, resolving student and faculty concerns, management of academic budgets and personnel decisions, and union contract negotiations, all in support of faculty governance. At the direction of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), the APAO collaborates with the Associate Provost of Curriculum, Assessment, and Accreditation, deans, faculty, and staff offering logistical and strategic support to the division, covering areas such as negotiation of the collective bargaining agreement, appeals for course requirements, handling student complaints, tenure track faculty review and promotions, semester scheduling and policy review, revision and implementation. Consistent with the team-based structure of the Provost's Office, the APAO may also serve as backup for duties assigned to the Associate Provost of Assessment and Accreditation. The APAO reports directly to the Provost/VPAA and serves on behalf of the Provost/VPAA during their absence. The MiLEAP-OST Project Specialist will oversee the implementation of the MiLEAP-OST Grant at Ferris State University, ensuring that all grant-funded initiatives meet compliance requirements and provide high-quality learning opportunities in mathematics, reading, and science. This 9-month temporary position requires strong program coordination, stakeholder engagement, and grant management skills to support educational programming and ensure effective collaboration with school and community partners. The anticipated start date for this position is April of 2025. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Bachelor’s degree in education, public administration, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years full-time of experience in program coordination, grant management, or a related area. Adjunct Instructor 1 - Exercise Science in Multiple Locations
This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed on a semester-by-semester basis to teach lecture and laboratory classes for students for the Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science degree. The qualified applicants for this pooled position will be a First Aid CPR Instructor certified through the American Heart Association. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Potential courses include Introduction to Exercise Science, Introduction to Fitness and Wellness, and First Aid and Emergency Management. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. However, these are estimated dates and can be revised if needed. Required: Master’s degree in Exercise Science or closely related field (e.g. Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Athletic Training, or Human Performance).
