The Director of Graduate Studies will: Lead and champion the growth, development, quality, and continuation of all graduate programs and graduate education at Ferris State University. Move graduate education in a direction aligned with Ferris' strategic plan and the goal of enhancing the scholarly contributions of graduate faculty and students. Cultivate progressive academic and administrative policies related to graduate education. Oversee operations in the Office of Graduate Studies, such as the administrative process, marketing strategy, and graduate student experience. Foster collaborative relationships with all faculty, program coordinators, college deans, administrators, and off-campus stakeholders serving and served by the graduate programs. Develop centralized funding for graduate scholarships, assistantships, and similar support for graduate students. The anticipated start date for this position is March 2026. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Terminal Degree from a regionally accredited university, Graduate teaching experience or related professional activities Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills. Effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Ability to cultivate relationships with faculty, staff, and administration that emphasizes collaboration and support.
Pre-College Program Administrator Big Rapids, MI 49307
The Pre-College Program Administrator has the duties and responsibilities of organizing programming, administering budgets, and completing state reports associated with grants such as the MI GEAR UP/KCP College Day Program. This is a grant-funded position with a one-year temporary assignment, with the possibility of renewal contingent on continued grant funding and successful performance. The position will include considerable travel to designated schools within Michigan to implement programs and activities designed to increase awareness to students and their parents about the importance of going to college. This may include, but is not limited to, financial literacy, academic outreach and support, mentorship, and other support services, including scholarships for underserved K-12 and college-age students. This position requires maintaining sustainable, effective partnerships with K-12 school administrators and community partners. Required: Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, general business or related field. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Equivalency for education is two years of full-time related work experience equals one year of education. Valid drivers license. Two to five years of experience working with historically underrepresented K-12 or college age students.

Assistant Professor Big Rapids, MI 49307
This is a full-time tenure track faculty position with the primary responsibility of teaching law courses in the School of Criminal Justice (SOCJ) in person on the main campus in Big Rapids. The candidate must also be willing to teach online courses in an online format when needed. Courses will include Criminal Law and Procedure, Corrections Law as specified by the Michigan Officers Training Council (MCOTC), and Legal Issues in Criminal Justice. The candidate may also be required to teach Michigan Criminal Law and Procedure within the SOCJ Law Enforcement Academy in accordance with the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES). Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's campuses or approved FSU sites. The candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2026 at the earliest and January of 2027 at the latest. Required: Must possess a Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school. Be an active member, in good standing, of the Michigan Bar. Must have at least five years’ experience in U.S. Criminal Law with experience in district, circuit, and family law courts.
