Summary of Position: | Part-time doctoral-level teaching in the area of community college/higher education governance and policy at campus locations and online (hybrid delivery). In addition to teaching, part-time faculty are also responsible for typical course-related tasks (assessment, course development, and quarterly faculty meetings). The anticipated start date of this position is August 2025. This is a pooled position. Applications will be held until vacancies occur, when qualified candidates may be contacted. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes semester-by-semester. All DCCL courses are hybrid with some face-to-face and some online instruction. Candidates must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, Texas, or Wisconsin following acceptance of employment. |

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: | Doctoral teaching experience. Online teaching experience. Certificate in Online Teaching. Relevant administrative experience in community colleges. |

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: | Teach doctorate-level courses in the DCCL program via mixed delivery. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include but are not limited to: keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty may be required to teach off-campus or in an online environment. Cultivates an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty and staff to thrive authentically. Support, promote, and develop University student enrollment and retention initiatives. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area. |
