Job Summary: | The duties of the position include the following: 1) teaching clinical/counseling psychology courses at both the graduate (MA only) and undergraduate levels, with a teaching load of 3 three-hour courses each during the fall and spring semesters and 2 three-hour courses during the summer session; 2) serving as the counseling program coordinator; 3) supervising graduate capstone experiences (clinical internships); and 4) providing service to the department, college, university, and profession. Incumbent faculty will be responsible for teaching both clinically oriented undergraduate (e.g., Abnormal Psychology, Theories of Personality, Health Psychology) and graduate courses (e.g., Psychopathology, Individual Counseling, Pre-Practicum, Ethics, Assessment, CBT, areas of specialty) as needed. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be experienced in program administration. As the coordinator, the candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, and manage program resources. Responsibilities include curriculum development, student advising, faculty coordination, and practicum and internship oversight. The role also involves program assessment, outreach and recruitment efforts, and fostering community and professional partnerships. The hired candidate should be licensed in Florida within the first year. |
